Janet served Applecross Primary School students and their parents breakfast on Friday, 27 August 2010 to encourage the school community to walk or cycle to school.  Janet made vegemite sandwiches for the students and their parents.

The breakfast was one of the school's Road Wise Committee's strategies to improve and maintain safety on the roads in the immediate vicinity of the school.  The aim is to encourage walking or cycling to school so that vehicular traffic during peak times could be reduced, and in turn make the school's surrounds safer.

Janet congratulated the school, local businesses who sponsored vouchers, and the City of Melville for their efforts.
